-part (2) of 3- OF MY UTTERANCES BEFOULING THE AIR; Of Mirriam's reply to my 4th ProposalA Poem by Baldwin Mupfeki
My heart's eye envisions a lamb,
Too, my mind's eye ponder: Upon a lamb, to tame a 'tigris' T'is predator it knows not of Of untamed winters l've seen; Than rosy summers you hovered 'nd let it be known, in short: "A mate fit for a 'Tigris' is a Tiger!" Not a mere lamb in fox's wear! Forgive my untimely shrewdness, It's less of what l let you see One fine day, dawn w'll answer, A 'Tigris' shall open to pity, yes! For a lamb to 'lye' safely with it But, not in our very now, For time to be vicy, has proved Until its confirmed; for all pray, For the safety of lambs, But for the meantime, I 'close my heart', to pity! © 2015 Baldwin Mupfeki |
