Gone Too Soon

                       …a tribute to Michael Jackson

325.jpg Michael picture by Munemayden

There was something in the way he moved…

the eccentric demeanor,

the fedora hat,

the mesmeric attraction of his savoir faire

for years, I watched him glide across the floor

a smooth criminal was he…

apprehending my consciousness ,

executing with theatrical prowess

the precision of dance

how tragic

that he is gone too soon,

like a diminishing light from a falling star...

as angels greet

the black attire

the white glove,

as fingers snap, anticipating

a musical introduction

as the king of pop moonwalks through

the gates of heaven

Say what you'd like about him, but the man could dance! Rest in peace, Michael!

They are leaving - and the last century is leaving together with them...

'Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by...

If you smile
With your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just...

Smile...'

Like the loss of sunlight on a cloudy afternoon.....I feel this. He was the best of a time when pop didn't feel so corrupt.

I just saw This Is It the other day. That would have been an amazing show.
Your tribute is written beautifully, as always =)

The comment below is rudely inappropriate .......... yes indeed, the boy could move. I never tire of watching him. Such a musical talent -- dang me. Such a tragic end. I do wonder how any of us would have done growing up and living in a fishbowl. I never believed the accusations of molestation -- I think he was truly a childlike innocent.

Thank you for these upbeat and positive thoughts, Kel.

Love,
j

yes, the man could dance and that is a fact. he touched young boys. when did it become okay to the people of this country to idolize a man like that. his own family doesn't want to pay for his funeral. the mayor of los angeles is asking the residents in la to help with money as well. the guy was a junkie and died that way. he deserves to burn in hell with the other child predators that will meet him there.
