The DanceA Poem by Kelly ScheppersThe Dance
we’ll
leave the chill of winter on
the ground drink
from fluted glasses the
remains of a Sauvignon
we’ll
count the stars we
see within each
other’s eyes then
map the constellations of
Orion and Cassiopeia in
a northern sky
and
the moon, the
moon shall be our champion a
beacon of light that dances upon the
Delilah in my hair.
