Umbrella of Crimson Red

Umbrella of Crimson Red

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

Umbrella of Crimson Red

lay with me

in this cusp of autumn

beneath an umbrella of crimson red

oh, how the trees are lovely

this time of year,

vermilion leaves pirouetting down

in a whirlwind dance

scrapbooking pages

for  poets

and sages.

Oh wow, this is just lovely Kelly.
You took me there to lay with you beneath that crimson canopy and feel the autumnal leaves twirling down in pirouettes.

Lovely, you're welcome,
I photograph anything in nature to, love it.
This is just wonderful, vivid in imagery and emotion. Your poem could go in a scrapbook for poets and sages.

Thank pleasure is mine. Thank you!
Autumn and winter are my two favorite seasons for poetry. And you've delicately captured a lovely fall romance, something about the leaves falling while you are too just has a nice refreshing read to it

I love it when the maples turn to fire and burn bright orange and gold and red. And one can lay beneath the trees with a pillow of leaves for his weary head. Maybe a book for company. A lovely read, my dear friend.
