A Jubilation of Quietude

A Jubilation of Quietude

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

A Jubilation of Quietude

sated in this humble abode

witness to rivulets of rain

minuscule orbs,

falling

plummeting

trickling  downward

into translucent pools

from a windows chill,

arresting my gaze

my ardent stare

with a jubilation of quietude.

No worries, consider it a done deal ..
As 'rivulets of rain ' fall and pitter patter against window pane, how relaxing to sit inside safe & snug in solitude in one's own haven, precious moments indeed!

It's the best of all places to be when it rains! Thank you, Tom!
dear Kelly... Rain will rescue Rivers from dry beds where trout will follow Mother Nature and become our kindred Spirit... Amen.. Pat

Your bird avatars are always a joy to see. Thank you, Pat!
I think you're just wonderful Kelly. The weather may turn but it doesn't always change for the worse (though, ha, sometimes it does). Not everyone has a bedrock to their character, the outside can and will decenter a significant part of the population on a regular basis. The mental health crisis/substance abuse epidemic in america is not likely to improve in the coming years.

Thank you, Thomas! Much enjoyed your visit!
I love how the title calls us to this blissful place... quiet... it is not a sound I am familiar with much anymore... my head is so full of sounds... screams... here the raindrops cleanse the soul... and carry us into a place of perfect peace. Thank YOU.

"quietude", what a perfect word for watching and listening to the rain. It is often the place where dreams are made, and in this case, poems are created. Very nicely done Kelly

You never can get too much of it you know, jubilation of quietude!
I think om gonna keep this one in my happy place. Unfortunately for me my happy place is when I've got my thinking head on, so I'll just keep it in my favourites for now until I can download it directly into my head! 😃

I sit watching the same. Rain falling in rivlets against the window and the gentle sound of its falling. So well expressed in your poem Beautiful!
