Interesting, with some good word usage. It brought to mind a scenario in which, a woman and man meet in the context of an artistic pursuit of some kind. Perhaps, in the same dance group or an orchestra? Anyway, because the woman is possibly kind of new to all this, as a "novice"; it creates a barrier or tensions between herself and the guy she has eyes for? However, the guy is probably a snob; and doesn't know what he might be missing.! If he appreciated the woman enough, then her novice status in art; would not deter him! He seems to like her physical beauty, as is clearly suggested in verse four? Anyway, this is probably the best work which I have read by this authoress; so far.

Interesting. A female model experiencing her first, or one of her first nude posing opportunities. A novice artist’s first adventure into the human form. Both experiencing a new journey into art as seen through different eyes. I’m not a big fan of excessive adjectives. However, that’s just me. Enjoyed reading. You accomplished what I enjoy in reading various works, the you gave me an image that I see, that I feel, that i remember. I’m new to Writer’s Cafe. Thank you.

There is nothing I cherish more than coming back to You, following a prolonged hiatus away. This is said in an effort to convince you of the deeply joyous elation in your ever expanding amelioration of mastered prowess, donning a poetic pen, I feel all the way into my ever-smitten bones.
Ya know, concerning this piece(?), I perceive it in two distinct settings: One, with light humor, where the novice nude artist's model 🎨 is posing and being set-up by her scholarly pretentious, amateur artist. The other, a sensually stimulating moment shared between two inexperienced lovers ⚤ … both of whom wish to be considered sexually sophisticated, in which Nature takes due course after considerable enticing foreplay (stroking scars 'n imperfections, indulging in the contrast of shadow and light, and the like); whereafter, her "gown descended to the floor in a diaphanous pool." Sheer verbal magic, Poetess … scheesh!
No one, Dear Kelly, does poetic diction with the verve, originality, and class You do … succulent sensuality with just a tactile pinch enough deliciously discreet porno to set one's imaginative libido spinning and left melting into its socks.
On the other hand, I genuinely enjoy this playful smile, aroused by images of the hopeful, clueless model and pretentiously adept artist.
I can almost hear you snickering at my bumbling guesses; ah, well, some things never change … LOL!
Either way, M'Dear, beautifully done, as usual!
You never cease to amaze my senses … happy hugs 'n smiles! ⁓ Richard🖌
[that gorgeous artwork sure would make a thrilling statement displayed atop this sweet masterpiece]

Er, to leave such a personal review.
And, talk about flattered … I'm all a'blush! ; )
This is sensuous and romantic, gossamer and yet full of wit and intelligence. Sexy without being obvious. And speaking of you I don't agree that you are an amateur. And this is proof that you are not. Brilliant piece of writing.

Growth is of most importance to me, as is the validation of those I admire. Thank you most kindly, Ken!
Well, awesome! Both are learning their art form, their position, their likes and dislikes.
It builds the tension till the last ending; keeps the reader anticipating something.
Awesome!

Pete, my man, you are always a most welcomed sight to see. Thank you, my patriot friend!
Amateur perhaps...novice yes...BUT. This is an artist who captures reality and presents it rather than trying to cover it up with brush strokes.
He paints the real person....and she allows him to show her in all her glory, including the flaws.
The story told in this poem really moved me....
and I remember sitting for an art class...not nude....but as I am....some captured the humanness so well....others took liberties to make their drawings perfect. I am far from perfect and appreciated the reality drawings of me.
the depth of the person you are always comes through in your poetry.
