Wind Songs in Acappella

Wind Songs in Acappella

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

Wind Songs in Acappella

another June precipitates days

of sun bleached hair

weekends of cocoa buttered skin

and volley ball beaches

with Picasso sunsets

and margarita evenings

as seagulls in adept formation

gather wind songs  in acappella.

Thank you for your visit, Pete. Always a pleasure having you here!
I like it! Short, sweet and description packed. I can't say I'm very fond of seagulls though. I love to see them flying. But they are greedy beggars on the ground. I saw one almost take a woman's finger who was trying to feed it bread from her hand off the back of a ferry. Some people are just not very smart. I was tossing bits into the air to watch them swoop but I never once thought of hand-feeding them, just, no.

I'm inclined to agree with you on that, Fabian. I think your way is a much better approach. Thank y.. read more
Beautifully captured, as always Kelly. Sounds to me like a lazy day of nothing much more than keeping cool and listening to the musicc of the breeze.
Ps... I hope you're sitting down for the next part, but we are having a bit of a Mediterranean day here today too!. But typically, the hottest day of the year has not enough of a breeze that could be mistaken for a butterfly farting! 😊

No, other than the sound of them farting is about as loud as wet paper ripping 😊
There is a gentleness to your words which is so calming....so lovely. My hair IS sun bleached and the cocoa butter is on me daily. Love the "Picasso sunsets and margarita evenings." Always a pleasure to read you, Kelly. Lydi**

Always such a pleasure to see you, Ken. Thank you!
This helps me visit the feelings I had of a southern california summer and therefore I say a poem successful.
