running  a marathon pace in my mind

 

weaving an indelible impression

of jazz and culinary skills

of Marlboro Lights and Calvin Klein

 

he is a litany of paperwork

with a scent of me not easily removed

 

i am the coercive thought

piquing his photographic mind

 

weaving an indelible impression

of designer bags and Gucci heels

of Revlon lips and sun kissed skin

with auburn hair cascading down

 

running a marathon pace in his mind.

I just realized my comment was not particularly clear... The past does not exist any longer, the future does not exist yet... How thick is the time we call "now?" I look back on the loves of my life and there is no telling the vast collection of scents I have no desire to remove... You have some kind of clairvoyance to draw such an accurate portrait of my life, my response to the foibles and pecularities of fate. I have loved many times, and lost just as many, but never without full commitment. I have often said I can do anything well except pick a lover. I have no regrets that I have been indelibly impressed in so many delightful, tortuous times and ways. What an excellent poem you have here... I'm saving a copy to my favorites.

I came to review something new, dear, but I came back to this tasteful bit of sensual erotica. I like most the "marathon pace"... they can't stop thinking of each other. They are each other's mental and emotional obsession. The rest of the piece focuses on psychological triggers and remembrances of personal habits. You're so very talented. I enjoyed.
