“but what bewilders me is how effortlessly
it falls without a sound.”
Like a picture a mental image can “paint a thousand words.” This piece brought back so many memories of winter snowfalls in Minnesota. Watching the flakes fall, especially the big ones, brings about a sense of peace like no other. It’s as if Mother Nature is trying to comfort us in a blanket of white. Your words have the effect. I especially like the ending where you spaced your words as if they were falling like the snow. Simply beautiful Kelly!

Thank you for acknowledging the effect at the end - the spacing of the words. It gave me a thrill to see someone picked up on it. Many blessings my friend for a most joyous year!

The natural beauty of the land, the snow, the ice, the wildlife and natives etc. is not so permanent as was once imagined though and we are slowly coming to that grim realization.

At least its seasonal! So good to see you again, Ted. Thank you so much!

Imagine, how small they are...and how overwhelmingly they can change a landscape into something majestically surreal. I am touched you enjoyed this so, Chris. Thank you!

I'm in Maryland, and we're expecting to be in the low teens, possibly the single digits by Christmas. Quite a change from San Diego! I'll be a human popsicle by midnight! Thank you, Betty!
