The Relevance of Letting Go

how like the trees

we are…

their stoic nature

teaching us the relevance

of letting go.

Trees let go deliberately with gentle breezes or the whip of the wind....many of us have to learn to let go.... of many things, loss being one of them....vivid imagery makes this poem come alive... and makes one think as well....
Nice!

The imagery of the stoic trees shedding their leaves and fruits with the seasons is beautiful. Learning to let go is not easy and yet change is a given and moving with time is a must. So wisdom is in letting go and grow. So much said in a few words.

You're most welcome! 🙋‍♀️💕
the minimalist supreme Ms. Legs!! i love it .. your poem instantly sparks my imagination in relating to the trees .. stoic and rooted but swaying and bending with the tides .. and most of all the letting go .. we can be such poor students of that and it only brings harm to our souls at a point .. wonderful poetry .. love the message, simplicity and stripped bare so all can see .. love love love this one my friend

I am smiling from ear to ear. You have a way of making my day. Thank you, Gene! xo
Beautiful Kelly! There is something very spiritual about trees. They loom over us like giant guardians of the world. When my grandson was younger he would go up to a tree and hug it. It was the sweetest thing.

In just several profound lines you spoke volumes. Trees are some of nature’s best. Perhaps that is why there are so many poems and stories written about them.

Well done Kelly! Have a wonderful day. :-)

...oh, it was indeed!
Nature teaches us many things… even the trees weep with falling leaves that nourish the Earth. The Evergreens are our Shelter through the Snow and Ice. There is an awakening in the Spring… when sleeping flowers begin to blossom. The cycle of Life and letting Go will renew our Faith when skies are blue and Mourning Doves return to warm our ♥️ Hearts and Coo with nests of tiny peeps of Charity. tenderly, Pat

Good analogy here. And of the trees, perhaps the saplings are the wisest. It's the great oaks that get toppled by the storms.

Thank you, John. I appreciate your visit!

trees seem to take what comes...
storms will sometimes fell them...but they surely know how to withstand...

Thank you, Ciara! ...and welcome to my page!
Amazing again, Kelly. Sixteen words and you say more than most do in pages. Maybe some day you can arrange these smaller gems one below another to form a beautiful necklace.
