Trees are subjects of great poetry, as is this short yet wonderfully true poem. I love how some ants (which are also great role models) make trees their home and protect them. Like an ant I'm all over this poem lol. Tyfs

Now that's a good thing to know! How cool is it that we can learn from each other? I love trees. I have portraits in my living room, some with affirmations on them about trees. I have a canopy of them outside my balcony that is so beautiful and serene. I know where I'll be drawing my inspiration from with the coming seasons. Love this! The trees stand tall but, time tells them when to let go of their leaves. Only if we could do the same thing. Eventually, we get there and life is happier. Very provocative poem. Thank you for sharing. Temp

the trees are oh so telling of life. deep roots, rich colors, letting go in order to make way for a new cycle. I've always been in awe of them. powerful to the core... :)

haven't been in the cafe very much lately. moved out of the city and am back in the country. there's lots of trees/woods and a river running right by my apartment complex. been settling into my new digs. still listening to lots of music. wow about brady & giselle huh?

I was really shocked to hear about Brady and Giselle. Didn't she want him to retire from football? They could still reconcile, though. Perhaps they just need to separate for a while.

she wanted him to retire from playing and spend more time with the family but he wanted to keep playing. that's a difficult situation. It's like she put him on the spot, making him choose - which do you love more - me and the kids or football? how are you?

Trees are my favorite things (other than some people) on earth. A walk in a mountain forest in the spring or early summer is about as close to heaven as I have been.

Wonderful observation here Kelly. Trees shed their leaves in autumn and renewal will come in spring. Very much like the sadness we experience with loss. Stark at first but it softens with time and we learn to live with it. Lovely work.
