Nothing perpetuates melancholy or beauty like the Willow. Thank you most kindly, Nev!
I love the willow trees dear Kelly. They have a haunting appearance. Stephen king quote is true.
"The hands of time
perpetually sweep
a myriad of days."
Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Very kind of you to say Kelly - yr a Star yrself ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
The first verse lends a hint of darkness, with its mention of Stephen King novels. The rest of the poem is a contemplation of time and its effects. Perhaps we are being told that there is a feeling of sadness, even for bad times past. For why else would the willow weep?

Those kitchen talks we had were in her kitchen, as were the ivy on the sill, and the books by her favorite author, Stephen King. I wanted to make mention of it all, now as I look back on the upcoming anniversary of what will be twenty-six years. That is why the willow weeps. Thank you for your insight and kindness. May you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
weeping willows are so beautiful...we had a big one in our backyard up north.
the ivy stills, but the weeping willow still cries for what's no longer said.
Stephen King, long read, and long reads...The Stand, It, November 22, 1963.
I weep because time flies....especially now.
nicely imaged...

The willow has always been such a favorite with me, the way in which its branches hang low, as if it were grieving for what is lost. Time is ever fleeting...perhaps the willow knows, too. Happy Thanksgiving my friend!
