How resonant and profound your expertly chosen words, image and account of awe are in your musing of this truth. So much is understood in the telling lines and felt in between them. Here is the cyclical nature of life, the chiaroscuro nature of it, the dark and the light of it…and the strength of we who traverse it. Gorgeous write- brava my dear friend.

Happy Birthday Kelly... You are a Poet for all Seasons.... and every Reason to Juxtaposition your Moods when Spring becomes Summer and later... Autumn becomes Winter. Someday we will lie down in the Snow and make Angel Wings and then we will fly away to other Galaxies . gently, Pat

It's like I can't write fast enough. I wrote this to compliment the photo above, which I took with my cell phone. I've always loved the contrast of shadow and light. It simply fascinates me to be able to capture it. As for the use of the two words in the same train of thought, that's exactly how it came to me. See, I told you. It makes me a little crazy...but in a good way! Thank you, Keith. Looks like my next orbit of the sun will include some rather interesting poets that I will take delight in getting to know! ; )
A beautiful image Kelly which is a perfect match for your words. Light and shade the story of life. Hopefully the light outweighs the shade. Happy birthday to you. All the best from across the pond.
