All My Life

All My Life

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

No photo description available.

all my life

it’s inexplicable to me

how the juxtaposition

of light and shade

stay as constant as

the winters

and springs

the summers

and falls

of all my life.

Well, it seems as if you are trying to put some frequency that combines or a reason that connects one thing to the other...opposition that falls in the mind as beyond. The uncertain experiences of everything between what we feel and what we expect from our lives are just a strange hole that exists in our mental and spiritual reckoning. The observer and observed are the deeper A priori and balance of that thing that exists within our illusions and life. How these things all come together in our expectations and perceptions and then the eventual existence is that true mystery that astounds us all when we stop to breathe what we are and what we know of consciousness, you have left me in that oneness by looking out at what is looking into our complexities of awareness and of our beingness. These illusions of our senses find their balance somewhere in the psyche of what we have accepted to be our truth of this world by letting go of what we consider our lives as we know them to be. I get a much deeper feeling of questioning the psychology and philosophy along the scope of the epistemology of who and what and where we are in this poetry. It is a trillion miles deeper in only a few lines in which you have given us to somewhat struggle in your polymath of poetry. Or it could just be me traveling through the looking glass of falling through the rabbit hole that I've suffered into within your depth though, either way, I absolutely love what is placed on our palettes to ingest Kelly. And it does not dissatisfy by any means. You have once again left me inside your intangibles of life, cuddled up in a wonderful ponderance of what now is only Tuesday. Absolutely Beautiful!!...Joseph~..." your " Joseph apparently as accepted..lol. and smiling at the concept.

Wow, the shadows are so cool. Seems beautiful art is always nearby when you are.
Life brings light and shade in almost equal proportions...
Perhaps like balancing an account, the debit and the credit and we leave with zero balance when accounts close. Every season availed in full measure, all debts paid, nothing owed. Joy, sorrows, light, dark, bitter, sweet...all.

It is my pleasure!
damn, Kelly....
such a compact poem...and yes, the juxtaposition of seasons and how they describe our

lives in various ways.
This is so good....and the brevity allows us to roam.

"there are places I remember, in my life, though some have changed, not for better just forever"
ah...life...the only constant is how much it will change.

I believe change is that one inevitable thing we fear the most. Thank you, Jacob!
Another lovely poem from you that eloquently says so much in just a few lines. Very well-crafted!

I very much enjoy reading your writing.
Black and white, day and night, shade and light, yin and yang, life and death. There is balance in all things. That's what Solomon was pointing out in Ecclesiastes and what Buddha taught in his writings. In fact, almost every known religion has some belief in balance. The transcendentalists believe everything in the physical realm is a representation of a greater spiritual truth, if we can only find and understand it. But first we must look for it. I enjoyed your poem.

A beautiful phrase... and it is a wonder how nature is so constant...the lights and shades at different times of day and the seasonal change that keeps winter, spring , summer and fall just as they have been for thousands of years! And it's been that way all of my life too!
Vert lovely Kelly.
