Oooof, my own impression, but line four reeks of desperation, and then salvation.

The manner in which he spoke that left her unable to resist. Your interpretation sheds a different light upon it, and that's just as welcoming to me. Everyone who reads walks away with their own take upon it. That's what reviews are all about for me. Thank you!
Phone conversations with someone you love are very precious. The miles aren't so many and the time is non existent. I could talk for hours with the one I love. ...exaltation of a sigh. Great line! I really like this poem, Kelly. Temp

The kindness of your words warm my heart. Thank you!
Hi Kelly.
It is always leaves deep yearnings when a relationship ends -- even over the phone and in messages it is real, even more real when the enthrallment of imagination is as limitless as love, need, and desire itself.
For me, the true embracing appeal in your words is derived from how naturally expressions of genuine feeling reach out to touch and caress something deeply missing -- something craved with un-satiated ache, yet beautiful in relatable moments you bring so vividly to life.
'the circumference of the world around us was obliterated within the exhalation of a sigh.'
Kelly you are a wonderfully magical image-maker, a painter of emotions by words -- sigh!
Sincerely and gratefully yours, for making me feel -- you,
Roth

Hello, Kelly. Thanks to your review of my poem, I have the pleasure of discovering your work. This one is so tender and wistful, it speaks volumes of the relationship, but also suggests that it has ended, leaving us with a sense of great loss. I’m looking forward to reading more of your poetry.

You always know how to make me smile my biggest smile. Thank you, darlin! x
Lovely to see a post from you Kelly. Yes, the telephone has that ability to draw people together, even though they may be thousands of miles apart. Many a love affair has been conducted over the phone. I met my husband once and didn't see him again for several months. We had a long distance telephone romance. I understand those sighs. So relatable and beautiful is this piece. Brings back memories. Hope you are happy and well.

Call it a women's intuition, right? My parents married at 18 and 19 years of age, back in 1947. I think of them often. They are always with us, no matter how old we are! Much love, my friend!
