oh to hear the voice of love. this is cool and so telling. now that is true intimacy.

When my favorite Classmate in High School… called me from the West Coast to the East Coast where we grew up… and Lester invited me to our 50th High School Reunion… I was thrilled.,. But when we were all settled at our Tables… we did not recognize each other… perhaps in Heaven Our Spirits will be entwined. tenderly, Pat

We would have to be, how else would we know each other? Jesus was crucified in his thirties - I believe that figures into such a belief, and promise. Thank you, Pat!
It is these moments, the special times of the day that you find will never let go, will never fade away and will always be that thought that one wished to hang onto always. My comment can in no way compare to how your little gorgeous poem has touched me because...I was on the distant end of a conversation very much like this at a time in my life and I relive it in my mind almost every day. thank you for this. Even though I know it wasn't, it feels like it was written for me.

Sometimes it is just the sound of the one you love that is enough to shatter the distance that is keeping you apart. Then it feels as if you weren't apart to begin with. Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed reading this poem!

Thank you, Aura. The pleasure is mine, having you here!
an interesting poem topic, kelly.
personally, i don't enjoy talking on the phone at all, & never even answer when it rings, I let my hubby do that.
I'm a visual person, I like reading emails preferably, or text messages. after speaking on the phone I hardly remember the conversation.

I still have one, though. One of these days I imagine it will be a blast from the past. Thank you, Carola. Have a lovely day!
I had to read this one as I have a poem by the same title. Those late night chats with long distance romances I'd venture often end in sighs. A romantic and atmospheric delivery. I enjoyed.

Funny, how many of us remember having them. So sweet to know! Thank you, Fabian!
I miss the long conversation at 2 am too dear Kelly. With my old age. I need to talk less. I liked the situation described in the words. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
