Ah, yes, "A man by any other name would wax in heat."
I'd say you are wrong,
if you weren't so right :)

I'll take that as a compliment, thank you, Dylan!
But by just the second drink they were demons on the football field in high school, champions of industry in the board room with unmatched heroism on the battle field. They say bars are the worst place to meet someone you want to spend a lifetime with but it still happens and it happened to me. But true love dispenses justice without jury. And sometimes it doesn't matter where you are.......it finds you....great poem love...dana

Nail on the head; will say no more other than; 'There's many a man hath more hair than wit,'
and believe me, I've met a few of those in my time. :))

Oh Beccy, you've made my day! High five, my friend...thank you!
Very good Kelly and also has the ring of truth about it. I gave up alcohol completely 21 years ago this year, and am hopefully a better person for it. Nicely written and well observed.

Thanks Kelly it does make a world of difference.
can't remember the last time I bar hopped, 50yrs. plus, and now we barely drink, but the neighbors invited us up the other day and gave us one glass of the wine they make.
We were both so blotto we barely made it home

I bet you slept like a baby, too! Thanks for the smile, Dave!
Three drinks and I would be asleep on the bar! Alcohol does seem to change the looks of everyone....not always for the better! :) Cute write, Kelly. You are still the queen of brevity! Lydi**

Girl, you made me laugh out loud! Thank you, Margie!

By their third drink...
woman, having mislaid her self respect,
remembers when this game more exciting,
as she suddenly finds it again,
on leaving it for someone else to play. 😊
