I bleed muted words

 

and drink the moon.

Great play on that wonderful word metaphor...and an appreciation that our lives goes into our writing, at the same time as absorb the world beyond us... Shakespeare aptly put ' in the same bracket 'the poet, the lunatic (moon influenced) and the lover.'

I love the way "metaphorically speaking" aptly refers to all of our hopeful aspirations of trying to be truly poetical . . . and at the same time, this phrase also refers to how a poet job is to speak metaphorically.
