Reminiscent Tears

Reminiscent Tears

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers
"

...in memory of a friend

"

Reminiscent Tears

Ashes to ashes

dust to dust

my heart lies

mortally wounded by

reminiscent tears.

in loving memory of Tony

A quote from Hemingway reads, "No one you love is ever truly lost." I've taken solace in those words today.

Sad and to the point. The memories may bring tears but they are also a solace.

So sorry for your loss, Kelly. When a friend passes, I think part of us goes with the friend. May his memory be a blessing. Sweet memorial. Lydi**

How wonderful of you to say. Thank you most kindly, Edie!
I read somewhere that we don't cry because our loved ones left this world, we cry because 'they' left 'us' alone in this world to cope with everything..it hit me hard and I found it true to an extent. Your words reminded me of that.
Touching write.
