Both,
Isabella and Fannie would surely fall in-love with this verse, Kelly, as have I … and, there's scant doubt John wouldn't blush with humility that one of his most ardent, skilled fans still cares enough to scribe such wondrously poignant, poetic beauty in his honour.
To thee, Dear Poetess, I bow most humbly and gratefully for sharing this birthday homage to one of my all-time, very favorite, classical poets of romanticism … warmest hugs, Lady Kelly 🍂 ⁓ Richard

He continues to inspire me with such pieces as this. Good to have you here, Richard. Thank you!
Romance is not dead, as evidenced by this. It has not, after all this time, kicked the veritable bucket. And I say damn fine it hasn't, for I never claimed to be a romantic, and it's people like me, that need it the most! Sweet writing!

As long as poetry exists, romance shall remain alive and kicking. Thank you, Mark.
I get the attraction of the romantics. (Not to be confused with the rock band of the same name.) I still have a hard back copy of "The poetical works of Shelley", stolen from the Bethany High School library circa 1989. It was a great, depressing period of my life. Keats, Shelley, and Byron were an appropriate primer for a budding poet and I think Keats is the only one who still holds up for me. With the context of the reviewer out of the way, I would like to think that this poem would fit well with any mention of romanticism. It feels like pure verse to me. Keats would be flattered.
