On the surface …
the entirety of this thrumming piece by Kelly is but mere thought, feeling, emotion, and the enthrallment of romantic spirituality expressed by one of this site's premiere artists.
Let's peel the layers back and explore the deeper essences hidden within the flow radiating from her captivating words.
Within the simplicity of this brief piece,
I sense and hear the dominant sibilant breath of intricate complexity in metaphor and alliteration that unlocks magic in all its words, bringing them to life, and in so rising ⁓ they dance into our minds, hearts, and imaginations.
Such uniqueness of gathered, inner silent, sound codes subliminally awaken our senses, thusly:
Five "Of" sounds
Six "K" sounds: (c)ashmere, (c)ompliment, O(c)tober, (c)a(c)ophony, musi(c)ality
Six "R" sounds: cashme(r)e, Cha(r)donnay, anothe(r), Octobe(r), whe(r)e, st(r)ums
Nine "S" sounds: note(s), ca(s)hmere, (s)ips, (Ch)ardonnay, (sh)ade, (si)lence, (s)trum(s), mu(s)icality
Is this really a Free Verse piece, with all of its sibilant and subliminal rhymes?
I could go on in revealing and unlocking the mysteries of this artist's amazing thought-streams, but what purpose would it serve, in-as-much that we're already enchanted by her spell with each new reading of her latest offerings.
Kelly, all, all of this really proves is it's a cacophony in reflection of your wondrously complex and brilliant mind-works.
What's more to say, except, "I love it: The poem, the soft presentation, the perfect painting choice, and the creatively gentle nature flowing from your lovely mind, heart, and soul!"
Thank you, Kelly, for sharing another wondrous part of You with Us! ⁓ Richard 🍃

I read your words out loud Kelly several times. I love the sounds of the soft c's against the hard kicking c's. Beautiful poetry here, as always.

Reading aloud is so important Kelly. Thought you would understand that.
Brilliant. A cacophany of silence, what a wonderful description. Scenes of cosy toasty nights, left to their own beat, as the personal indulgences add to the flavours of that golden hue your words create.
Somehere nearby, there would be a gentle ticking of a clock, lull
Mmmmmmm, this is so.....sumptuous. Can I use that word? From texture, to palette, to setting to sound. This is as full and slippery as it gets, with just the right amount autumn stirred in. Wow Kelley, this was like eating a truffle, and wanting two more with a sip of wine. Amazing!!!!

crisp, cool, quiet autumn evenings....but that loud sound of contentment and hopefully love is definitely in the air.
your poem matches this avatar somewhat...and reminds me of Octobers in Vermont.

Love the oxymoron in the title dear Kelly! Silence can be deafening, but if tuned and heard correctly it can take one to a state of heightened senses and awareness. The wonderful artwork seems to speak to this reverie. Your eloquent words say it all - “notes of cashmere’ with wine and languor- I’ll take it! Love the mood you set here my friend.

It's pretty much the mood I've been in these days. Much thankful for the love! x
Sometimes the moments that speak the loudest are the silent ones.
When the rest of the noise is gone, we hear what we want (or what we don't) so clearly.
This is how your poem speaks to me. So good Kelly.
