Three Days of Rain

Three Days of Rain

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

Three days of rain

and the willow bends its branches low,

like the pendulum sway of a grandfather clock…

like the guileless accordion of fingertips

gliding gently across

a lover’s brow.

My dear Smitty, thank you!
Is this the same willow that I found in a dream? Where lovers entangled in a sweet summer rain? The water cooling and the passion so fine.

Love,
Al

...how I wish I had one! Thank you, Al!
So.. before I blow away.. just thought to take a little walk across the page full of rain. Rain's always been the foremost thing to beloved with. It's coldness has much to say.. to speak of its participation in guise of sweeten words (very tasteless but fruitful words). "Three Days Of Rain", is breathtakingly a very smashing title I've visualized in mind.. it's seemed alike a very unique preview of thrilling movie where the romance's well blended with its wings. Ah.. rain makes love more growing well, no matter with how much intensity. Emotions're always being found into its droplets... which brings some meatloaf of memories. Excellent work! Enjoyed reading your few captivating and alluring writes.. always a pleasure to read you, Kell!

Wish you happy-writing...
..will be hanging around your pages soon! ;)

Aw Kelly this is so nice...the vision you evoke is one of comfort...melodious rhythm of the rain and the serenading tone of a grandfather clock is very soothing...the image you conjured of rainy days made the emotion a very gratifying experience...your words embody a tone of sensuality which makes this poem very delightful.

Love it! I read it aloud, deep and slow, as that is how I imagine this should sound. My favorite line:

"like the guileless accordion of fingertips"

Have a nice day!
