But you do have the memories that are uniquely you. I have the same regrets on a daily basis, this is so identifiable and feels kind of lonely. It is a very good piece.

I'm pleased with how it turned out, for I considered making it longer. Your poem, "Remembering" is still very much in my head since reading it...such an incredible piece. You should be most proud of it!
It is a privilege to grow old and hopefully wise. Perhaps this is a visit home, if only in your mind; remember the laughter and blessings as well. I encourage you to book a passage to "Paris" and dream big.

Thank you for the warmth of your words, Christos. It is a pleasure meeting you!
very emotional. we all have regrets. the thing is to do everything we can whilst we can to keep them to a minimum. this really touched me, made me sad and got me thinking. excellent food for thought. powerful write Kelly. Carpe Diem ... :)

I think we all have regrets Kelly, particularly when it comes to loved ones, and even more so if those loved ones are no longer with us. If a situation can't be rectified than I guess it hurts more. I wonder why you will never see Paris in the spring, or attend confession, or learn to play the piano. Those things seem to be ones that you could still do something about. I felt both sadness and love when reading your words. I bet you could write a book about your achievements.

Although learning to play the piano seems probable, perhaps it has more of a chance than Paris! That book sounds like a pretty good idea. Thank you, Chris!
I find the word “sometimes” seems to add a bit of a dampening effect to this otherwise passionate message about lifetime regrets. I’m not sure how to process that word, but I get the idea you did it very intentionally. As far as the examples you choose to illustrate your point – BRILLIANT! These are many of the things I did not get to try in this lifetime, so I felt strong resonance thru-out. All in all, the sensation of “LOVE” is nearly dripping from the examples you choose. So I guess it’s all about love, then . . . *smile* Fondly, Margie
Oh the sorrysof life bring new reason to soar even higher than before- each regret planted a bud for change and appreciation that makes you the wonderful women you are today and the achievements you have obtained- the sorts allow us to forgive to change to make right and to be set free- sorry carries new opportunities-wonderfully written, deep and meaningful🌹

I suppose even our regrets mold us into the person we are. Thank you for your perspective!
dear Kelly... for everything we are sorry about... there usually are several endeavors we are proud about... such as cleaning up so our Mother can pursue her art of cooking or sewing.
Perhaps taking our parents to a Concert of a Play at a theatre. Perhaps being there for a loved one to hold their hand. I love your gift of poetry and there are many things for which I am so sorry... such as my Mom passed at 58 and did not experience her golden years. Now I am doing that for me and my Mom. truly, Pat

Two days following her surgery, she had a heart attack and died. This is the time of my life that I know I would have been taking care of her, and writing this helped me in acknowledging that. I am so blessed to have what I have of her - inside of me. It gives me strength, every day. Thank you, Pat!

Regret for things not done, said or acted upon. I have a few myself. When we look back. I believe. We must find the good moments. Hold them closer. Thank you Kelly for sharing your powerful words and thoughts.
