To me, the goal of a very short poem is to pack it with meaning, based on how a ton of possibilities are unleashed in the reader’s mind. Your poem is the poster child for doing just that. It’s not just words on the page, but ideas spawned by your words, which creates a much longer piece of consideration. A very creative way to say that we must keep going onward in life! *sigh!* There are no do-overs, I guess! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

impressively stark and boldly powerful words. taps directly into the depths of human emotion and experience. such thoughts leave a lasting impression. i imagine Keats smiling from ear-to-ear at such a penning ... :)
