My California King

My California King

 

 

morning breaks,

sunlight peers

through vertical blinds

you lie warm

and sleeping

in my California king

i sip from a french roast

voyeuristically immersed

in the rippled effect

of sheets

wrapped  sinuously around

the southern proximity

of my California king.
