An Offspring of Hope

Winter breathes a stoic chill

diffusing my rain drenched soul
with insipid colors,

impregnating my muse
with an offspring

of hope.

This winter has being going on & on & on for most folks! Your words convey that feeling of hopefulness, as if spring surely must be arriving any day now! Nicely encapsulated by your vivid imagery (((HUGS)))) Fondly, Margie

It was "encapsulated by my imagery". Thank you for acknowledging that, Margie!
It wont be long now, it cant be, surely & those pastel shades must fore-warn of spring and ease it in more warmly..................You just gone & sketched a little bit o spring. Bless ya Kelly Scheppers, bless thee...

My pleasure🌹
wow an expressive poem of for me because we don't experience winter here so we only have simple ideas just as snow and snowman as we see in american films and read in books but other than that we only have vague ideas about what winter represents in one''s life so by reading a poem like this more or less, we get additional ideas such as it can symbolize hope with what the last line of the poem entails.

I have flowers blooming as I speak! Can the hum of lawn mowers be far behind? Thank you, John!
