An Offspring of Hope

Winter breathes a stoic chill

diffusing my rain drenched soul
with insipid colors,

impregnating my muse
with an offspring

of hope.

Excellent Kelly. A bleak heart in winter.

Thank you, Ken. I deeply appreciate your review!
Being a Minnesota girl, winter is sometimes the only season we have it feels like. Sometimes it feels like Mother Nature is purposely playing with our minds and souls, jerking us around, giving us a slight glimmer of spring then taking it away. To live in MN and not have a personal relationship with mother nature is like living in denial. Love your work! Can’t wait to read more!

Thank you so much, Kelli! Always good to see a new face around here!
I love it and this is the time of year when we become impatient waiting on short sleeves and flip flops

Last Friday it was 80 then on that Sunday we got snow over night. I love this crazy weather.
Yep, and the ski resorts are basking in the crazy amounts of new springtime snow they are getting in Utah.
been a weird winter here.

You bring such joy, my friend...thank you!
I want to be near is why I stay away. So I linger winter wise, to keep the fire at bay. Then the sunscreen beckons, convincing me winter is a fickle illusion and then sand is kicked in my face and it dawns on me, this beach has no lifeguards.

The winds are rustling and I feel the damage of winter shaking off the snow. Your hope is beautiful and warm just like the spring sunlight.....

What a welcomed surprise! ...thank you, Eve! x
Very chilling, however, very refreshing. I love how it's subtle though it speaks volumes. Lovely and befitting picture. Great read.
