Analogy of a book

How much

like a book

we are

with an introduction

a beginning

and a climax

with a spine

and a voice

that speaks

metaphorically

we are

statistically categorized

by numbers

and names

all our lives

immensely filled

with chapters

and hours

and time

ever fleeting

with knowledge

and journeys

and joys

far exceeding

the price

we pay

Oh my wondrouly inventive friend!! What you have done is turn the book: person simile inside out lock, stock and barrel. It's become an illustrated tome of how Life should be - travelogue and chart. Hard on heart, i've read this three times and found wee snips of magic each time! Love it. x

Always a pleasure, Kelly - always. Wishes for sweet hours full of smiles over Easter for you too. x
Hi Kelly, not only can we be compared with a book, in my search into life, with a heap of self enquiry. I see us all as stories, that one fades out, and another takes it's place. I enjoyed your poem, my friend...Peter

Thank you, Peter...nice to meet you!
"with knowledge and journeys and joys far exceeding the price we pay" how true this is! Life is not easy, but the benefits we reap so outweigh the price. Great simile here, Kelly. You still have it, my friend! Lydi**

A best seller indeed says The New York Times.
They made her book into a movie... an Oscar performance.

...such a sweet man you are! Thank you, Alfred! x
I just love this write Kelly. There is nothing I would like more than to be compared to a book. No matter if we might feel a bit tattered and torn on the outside, it is what we find on the inside that counts. Any number of which can be full of tales of passion, mystery and everything else that hold the key to our existence. So very creative and beautifully written!

Your reviews are music to my ears, Dara...thank you so much!
Life has always been composed of chapters to me. When going through something bad, I always remind myself, this chapter to will pass.

Nice writing, Kelly.
