Bathe Me in Moonlight

Bathe Me in Moonlight

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

bathe me in moonlight

i need a man
when the world is cold,
to stand beside me
when the years are no longer

my friend

an amorous man

a guise of grey of a man,
to stroke my hair

my shoulders, bare

to bathe me in moonlight
with kisses that trace
the nape of

my neck,

the curvature of

my spine

to love me forever…
to leave me never…

Thank you so much, David!
A beautiful write expressing the essence of true love and the desire for intimacy and tenderness that goes well beyond young adulthood and encompasses the signs of aging. To grow old with such a man when "the years are no longer my friend" is all we could ask for. I believe you have found yours dear Kelly but in truth he is the lucky one!! ;-)

Indeed, it would be the sweet life! Good to see you, Ken. Thank you!
This poem is so smooth and luxurious! It has such subtle, tempting phrases. I loved "when the years are no longer my friend." Nice way to put our inevitable aging. Great job!

Aging is inevitable. I wanted to bring out the need for having a partner in life. Thank you, Mari!
a man who cares... who is a true friend, a companion, the reliable harbor, the listener to my thoughts, my hopes dreams and fears, who share me with trust, with understanding... who grows and blooms with me... same as I'm to him, oh and so much more... never ending, Your emotive words touch mine to flow... Thank You sweet friend for a lovely dream to live in.

“To love me forever, leave me never” This line is very touching to me, as is the rest of the poem too. A beautiful write from a beautiful writer.
