Sunlight and Shadow

Sunlight and Shadow

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

I love capturing shadow and light.

Sunlight and Shadow

Integrating fragments

of sunlight

and shadow

silhouette my consciousness,

eradicating all

decibels of sound.

What a lovely photograph. Do you take the photos' you use? The poetry was soothing and deliberate, when visual cues override all others, it is a tea party for the mind and heart. Lovely!

It is....it is.
A silence, so peaceful, so spiritual. Taking me back to where I began....A picture and poetry to remember, Kelly.

what a wonderful piece of photography which I might well download(with your permission) and do a pencil sketch of... the shadows are amazing.
I can imagine sound and everything else could be blocked out just losing yourself in the light and depth of this...so different and fascinating

Thank you. I really appreciate that!
What an exquisite photo, Kelly... as it appeared i wanted to thrust my hands forward and touch its brilliance and warmth.. The reflected lines on the wall, the curves of the glass plus the shape of the fruit creaTes such an exotic almost sensual arrangment. For some reason i think of Gaugin.

Added to that, of course, are your wonderful words - harmonious, near blissful .. beautiful.

I'm glad that you're glad.
Going to your zen place and just contemplating life....it is such a good feeling especially when the sun is warming your skin. I liked this one, Kelly. Lydi**

My zen place seems to be shrieking these days. Thank you so much, Lydi.
An artist's eye to be sure coupled with the sensitivity of a poet produces an eye opening bit of magic. One little suggestion...silhouette my consciousness...change to...silhouetting my consciousness, only for the fact the other adjectives end with 'ing'. A small thing really.
P.S.
Your photograph would look good on anyone's kitchen wall. It has the look of art that belongs in a gallery. Good write & good photo.
Well done.
