Design by nature

Design by nature

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

I caught a perfect raindrop, sitting upon the petal of a succulent.

Design by nature

a dulcet rain

begins to fall

an orb

of absolute precision

is meticulously cupped within

the concave petal of

a succulent

unequivocally designed

by nature.

They are the most beautiful of all plants- I carried many different types around with me in South Africa when I moved house many a time- breeding with them for eleven years- it’s amazing to see how they survive on little and still portrait such beauty through simplicity- wonderful 🌹

This was pure joy for me, Cory - in so many ways! Thank you!
Your photograph - wrapped in expressive language, is exquisite. In another person's hands, it might have become excessive. Your less is definitely more, Kelly. Beautiful!

Very simple and ellegant. Words in my ears have beautiful sound. Almost like innocence there is somewhere.

I love your analogy. Thank you so much!
I like this - Nature showing how it knows about keeping boundaries but still sharing the same space and your eloquent pen to gild the lily.
Nice package Kelly.
