What a beautiful tribute to a stunningly beautiful woman, Kelly! You've framed your admiring words very elegantly too.. that matters.
What an incredible photograph. Shows that rare look that shouted star quality - maybe cos of her bone structure. '.. 'luminous and breathtaking ~ flawless and transcendent, ~ with eyes you could fall into.. '
That I believe.
( Saw a couple of her movies at Film Club... wondering, did she also play Anna Karenina and emerge from steam at a railway station? )

I haven't seen the original one yet. I wrote this after watching her in "Camille", and I am deeply flattered you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for making my day!

I appreciate this more than you know, Gene...thank you so much!
and she finally spoke...you are right about the eyes...even in that pic...you could fall into them---
many of those legends...there is something about them...something so lasting...and yet even today, we know people...relatives, friends...ones who penetrate our lives so much...who have eyes into our souls..and they too..are legends for us....and will always last on our screen of memories.

I feel you are one of those "greats"...one of many here we all look up to. Thank you, Jacob!
that line: "Garbo was more than Greta"... they did paint her that way didn't they, in her movies, as Hollywood starlet... but behind the Garbo was always Greta and a woman who wanted "to be left alone"... she was indeed a legend and your poem is a wonderful tribute Kelly...

Kelly Scheppers,
Greta Garbo is a lovely example of a time and generation which was somehow just smoother and more lovely in its requirements of a stage actress. Maybe we need to be able to look back at our grandparents generation to what they said and how they lived to get a feeling for the atmosphere of their day to the music and entertainment they enjoyed. yes Greta Garbo was amazing and oh so glamorous! You have surly given her a shining song of a tribute. Good job!......Blessings. Kathy
She was so beautiful. You honored her memory with the poem. Some faces are so wonderful. Cannot be forgotten. Thank you Kelly for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.
