Holes in your apologies

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

There are

holes

in your

apologies

no vacancy

for

honesty.

...the hardest pill to swallow. Thank you so much!
Insincere apologies, I believe are more hurtful than the reason for giving an apology in the first place. It's difficult to imagine that the giver is unaware of how hollow their apology is.

How honesty and a sincere apology tests and tries us.
So few words, yet another favorite of mine.

I've missed you around here, Traci. Hope to be back myself very soon!
A succinct account of one of the necessary skill-sets needed to maintain a healthy romantic relationship expressed through the beautiful craft of poetry, excellent.

An apology may only be two words, but they come with a lot of weight. Thank you so much, Lydi!
man!! the conflict between the two verses is like the grating of hard rocks, making rock embers fly off them ... smart, heavy hitting .. what a thing to remember to say in the right situation ...its like after the fact i am sitting there saying ... Gee! "i wish i would have said that!" great stuff says i!

I hope you are doing well. Enjoying this good day in Michigan and you are welcome Kelly.
I've been told that often enough that I don't mean my apologies.. Can one really see through the person speaking them out?
Even then, I can see the wisdom in your words, maybe there are such people...
