Through the eyes of a child, we can see the innocence of the world....the innocence that flies away all too soon for most. Your compassionate nature shines in this one, Kelly. Lovely. Lydi**

I'm so happy you enjoyed this, Lydi. I really love writing about children...thank you!
Gorgeous :) The innocence of such youth can be nurtured and sometimes we need to comfort and let the inner child rise up...helps us see the world with less pain that way at times :)

Great wisdom in these well written words:)
I just had a conversation earlier this week

Thanks for sharing and b-blessed!
And how true it is that we grow up and forget to be children until we have children again that keep us young. Love this.

The trouble is. the do-gooders have taken the fun away to protect our children from harm. They can't walk a block to school or play tag. It's not just parents who helicopter. Too bad, kids are far more resilient than they're given credit for. We grow old from the lack of laughter. Good write, Kelly.

Your perspective gives me cause to applaud...thank you!
These days, it is getting harder and harder to find that "realm of innocence" in our youth, sad to say. Social media, the internet, and even our local schools are shredding that innocence to hell. Kids are exposed to inappropriate images at a rate never before seen in previous generations. Inappropriate mass advertising is EVERYWHERE, and much of it aimed directly at our children at early and earlier ages.
This lovely poem is a lone dove surrounded by birds of prey.

too late for me Kelly, way too late... lol... even the mind is slipping..er...what were we talking about??!!! oh the poem, right...
children do have boundless spirit and energy, and if we encourage this and adopt it for ourselves, then yes we can remain young at heart... your poem shows the direction Kelly, I love the spirit and innocence of this poem...

curiosity, wanting to know everything is something children possess and we adults need to teach as well as never loose... the world is both a horror and a wonder and the question WHY should always be in our spirit, and never be satisfied with simplistic answers... okay either need more coffee or a nap... good morning Kelly hope you day is good...
