Leftover Love

Leftover Love

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

Leftover Love

I never dreamed

you’d walk away

leaving me to figure out

the small stuff,

with empty bottles of Grey Goose Vodka

and a mattress fit for a King,

playing solitaire

upon the high thread count of sheets

of an unmade bed,

of a leftover love.
