He died at the age of 25, in Rome, in February of 1821. This excerpt was taken from a poem I wrote, expressing what must have been his longing for another spring. Thank, Dan! Every line is deeply effective.. I can feel the deep solitude; I know the longing of another spring and I envision the sparrow's wings outstretched to take flight. the last line takes my own breath away with the concluding of the poem in connection to the final exhalation of the poet's own breath...Memorable work here and very solid with so few words...
