Counting Crows and November Snows

Counting Crows and November Snows

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

Counting Crows and November Snows

There is a void

that punctuates my tears

A parade of years

are all that is left me,

to counting crows

and November snows.

This made me think of a couple that had spent so many years together and have it abruptly ended. It reminded me of my grandfather after my grandmother passed. He lived on for a several years, but was never the same. This is well use of a small amount of words. Nice job.

You're so welcome!
It is near winter ice is coming, morning crows crows crows. And "there is a void" the years do find us sleeping, so long we wait hearing those birds because "there is a void".

Nice poem.

I'm happy you enjoyed it, thank you!
The emotional pain and the overwhelming regret in your words is stunning. When someone is gone, the void can not be filled. Certain times of year remind us. Lydi**

You are welcome!
dear Kelly, "quote the raven Nevermore"...
some of us do count the ravens and wait for
the winter snows... but perhaps in our own unique way
of remembering the gifts of yesterday...
truly an extraordinary piece of poetry...
truly, Pat

Yep, you've done it again! Your poems are really just punctuation for those glorious titles you come up with. Together with the illustration, this one's another gem.

You will always be the man with the tulips...how wonderful to see THAT face, Roland...thank you!
Voids of your kaleidoscopic eyes and the album of your linen spirit grieve for what your capricious lead you to get divined with.. and for what. Ye - the heart's capricious, has no direction not even a separate way to get beaten, it certainly beats along love-edges and gets numbed to reach the hummed "extremes" of love. However, the poor - the naive so caring lace of unclothed spirit seems to be left behind 'neath the wrinkles of darkling skies when it comes to know, the love that once it loved to the fullest's became a cause to leading even the whole diary of life to "Counting Crows and November Snowy Snows." And, exactly, happened to your bare unbare spirit. Love brought you the sweeten cakes of lies though "sour" cups of unforgotten memories... that further led you to get knelt down... sat down to your very knees... for letting love or memories stream down to the meanderings of your "olden relationships" ... in a void of emptiness- in a search of love... that once you were bewitched with.

"White pearls, the brown drapes go fallen down under the raged enraged flames - the shine of radiant sun & the stars go hidden behind the veil of dark clouds having you so lost in the memoirs of November Snows."

Very heartfelt poetry you've come up with. Seemed, you have some of your own hidden secrets or, may be, some kinda "very emotional" and heartfelt memories stuck with "November Snow". Always anew read to your read I find to be read! Nice imagery!
