Morning Glory

Morning Glory

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

Asleep in my bed,

you’ll never know the love

and feeling

I have for you

yet,

I haven’t the heart

to awaken you from dreams,

to acknowledge the emotion

in so many words

Perhaps, when you awaken

I’ll tell you…

in the morning.

...thank you, Trace. Your words are always welcomed here!
Beautiful, gentle and kind words for love. I like the nightly embrace and the secret whispered shared. Nice flow of thoughts led to perfect ending. Thank you Kelly for sharing the outstanding poetry.

It is very emotional and lovely
Powerful image...overwhelmed by love...you want to tell him how you feel but you know that words can only say so much. So better to keep the anticipation for the morning. Maybe you will tell him, probably not...that is what it feels like.

Well done.

..thank you so much, Philip. Nice to meet you!
"... & till morn comes, he won't be there anymore." Right? I guess so.

Sometimes, ah now-a-days, most of the times, one heart's oft. seemed to be "unspoken" because, the spirit'd speak the whole night itself so when morn comes, nothing seems to be left to share except "Morning Glory - Full Of Memories". Quiet fascinating concept you've come up with. Liked the choice of words as well.

Kelly, beautifully done verse. Even the script you used here brings even more impact to your well chosen words. It can even be seen as the dream itself, in which he will awaken soon and reciprocate what is mutual...

...thank you for a most wonderful review, LaShaye!
To gaze upon such a bond, sigh...sometimes no words can do that moment justice, we just have to feel and smile :)

Sometimes I think emotion simply exceeds words...thank you for the smile, Poppy!
In some strange sense he knows, it's in the dream, the verbal announcement sifts into the fiber of his soul, settling into a whisper of your love.

Beautiful Kelly, simply beautiful!
