I may never write an American novel,
or win a Pulitzer prize.
I may never see Paris in the spring
or smell sweetly
the golden Iowa wheat. But l shall love you…
And that is as clear to me as the Colorado mountains.
It is as pure to me as a Minnesota snow
and the perpetual rains that fall
in Seattle. And while you are near
with the brilliance of a million stars in the sky
l will hold you,
longer than the Pacific is deep.
I will treasure you more than any jewel,
and remain yours
far beyond the pyramids of time.
And l will love you.
That is as clear to me as the Colorado mountains.
As pure to me as a Minnesota snow.
Flows as a sail on the airy ocean blue. Feel every emotion coming off this beautiful piece.

Your words warm my heart, thank you for the kind review!
Marvelous images inspired from the blissfully enthralling photograph is enticing poetry in no small measure, Kelly, and when such powerfully deep and rousing emotional nuances from your words are combined, they release an aura that permeates all through the senses, completely into the hungry core.
So intently is the effect of your scintillating poetry, that one is left to wonder from whence these spells of enchantment are derived, that sing and flow so tenderly, sensually, and sweetly from your mind, heart, and soul … ahhh, but why question the rare glory of sheer loveliness, when it is created through blending the splendour of Nature's colors, hues, and textures into those of human desire and yearnings.
Thank you, Dear Poetess, for showing us what love poetry was created for! ⁓ Richard

dear Kelly, your poetry is as gentle as
newly falling snow or a bud appearing
in the Spring, as though an orchestra were
playing our heart's desire by an evening fire.

Monumental in its statement on loving another. I love the style of your prose so deeply embedded with authenticity, rich imagery and one hell of an image.
