Each word reflects such a world of aching. This dark space in you that desires release from the recollections. You seem to know the suffering soul of us all. xo

It helps to keep growing and nurturing the soul. Many thanks for the kindness of your words!
dear Kelly, as a young teenager,
my Mother once asked me, "Are you
High on something?" I said to her,
"No, Mom, I am simply high on life...
dreaming of that special someone
I have not yet met." Later in life I
realize that one can feel high when
reading and writing poetry which
can be dreams of musings.
Your poem is a prayer of poetry.
truly, Pat

WONDERFUL!!!! We can get through anything with our poetry, can't we? I think our addiction to words is a far better one that any addiction to pills would be. Great stuff, Kelly. Lydi**

Laughing here......a selfie I took last weekend before we went out. Thank you.
not so dark!! :) but the consequences of a "one night stand" are loud and clear ... but can be taken in many different ways ... when life dawns and yesterday was not so great ... when depression sinks in and takes root .. we grab for life holds ... i too am grateful for poetry ... those "pills" can take away the pain momentarily but poetry relieves and begins the healing .. we should never give up writing eh!? such power in a small poem!

Not only shows the myriad ways of time blurring our identity but a saddening truth....poignantly poised, whether dark or light, your words call to me :)
Wish I was that strong, though poetry does help..when you love as deep as the ocean but only fish in a shallow pool you are always the one who gets hurt.

I was that one, for the longest time. I do believe poetry was my life line! Thank you, Terry!
