And it leaves so much open to interpretation...Is it a choice between the two? a struggle? pills can be permanent and deadly, whereas poetry preserves the memory for future reference; the pills will only dull the pain temporarily....
maybe the best solution is to avail yourself of both. when the pills wear off, then resort to the poetry.

It sounds ridiculously good, but what does it mean? If she doesn't take the pills, will she be bored to death by poems? Or maybe, after hearing a particularly bad one, she'll just say f...it and take the pills?
