Wow, Kelly, to be part of nature. smelling of spring
flowers or rain, or even falling autumn leaves in all
their color and energy to replenish the earth in
new birth. truly, Pat

Hello Pat, how was your 4th? Thank you so much, my good friend!
Kelly, As we have become grandly accustomed to, in this write you use words (suggestive and otherwise) and photo art to sketch an outline of a poem and then fill it in with verbal color, a spectrum of your artistic inclinations. North Carolina is a beautiful state, my stepson lives in Charlotte...but I couldn't help thinking of the old Charlie Daniels' song, "Carolina." Check it out on YouTube. It's a beautiful story-song, a bit more family-oriented than your write but beautiful, like yours, in its own way. Thanks for sharing your gift with us again. take care...dan
This is simply delicious Kelly. Not sure if I ever told you that I am from North Carolina so am intimately aware of the area you speak of :-) I also echo FT's sentiments. Reading your poems always leave me feeling renewed and enlightened and looking forward to the next one. Another sweet write from you my friend.

Your generosity is much appreciated, Dara...thank you my longtime friend!
You know how the anticipation builds. while 'Stephan' is slowly mapping the southern states, right? That's what it is like anticipating your next poem, and you never, ever disappoint. The title always draws the reader, then the photo selection causes one to pause and reflect for a bit and once the words begin to unfold, like the sheets drawn slowly down a lover's body beneath the warm glow of a summer sunrise, there is no turning back... fortunately I am pretty good with American geography and know where Carolina is :)....this is simply gorgeous, Kelly; as gorgeous as the poetess behind the words! Bravo!!
