I envelop what remains of your memory,
couching my discontent
within the facsimile of a smile…
your words have won my heart ..
much love :)

October .. The Month I was Married in ..long ago
Also the Month My Mother gave me up for adoption.
Many Octobers brought Joy...some pain
"within the facsimile of a smile"... My favorite line..
March on, smile, whether real, or painted/stitched on..
A smile will see you through.. the remindful days of October..
Speaks to me...............thank you.....
Jazz.

Such is the beautifully apt picture of introduction, Kelly, that it is almost a poem, in itself.
I have always held onto a certain affinity for October, with the cool breezes, endless colors of leaves, the pervading sensations in lifting of spirits, the relaxing joy of impending days in Winter wonder; plus it is the month of my birth.
I, too, tend to forget that which lingers in the past of hurts and sorrows, spreading a winsome smile across the vestiges of pain, and why not? It beats dwelling on what can no longer be changed.
I, too, had rather sip the relaxing wine of October's coming ease.
Stunning, Dear Kelly … truly! ⁓ Richard

I have your birthday on my radar...I promise it will not pass without recognition! Many thanks, Richard!
I kinda loving your new style of poetry. Just read your earlier few writes. Saw you're doin' something new with your art. Liked it! The poetry that you've come up with is very eye-catching & marvelous reading.. especially to me. You speak way enough in short & simplistic words. The title that you've chosen, of course once again, is beautiful... even at first when I read "Languid Sips Of October", my mind sighed with 'tis: "Languid Sips Of Summer/Winter".. because, I guess, every season has much memories; its own moments to be claimed with love & on & on. Here.. "Languid Sips Of October" is very "expressive" that's written in a very twisting way to portraying the fragrances of olden-days in wondrous life. What a beautiful imagery!
