oh wow,, this really hit the gut and tugged at the hurt strings. Your writes are always so powerful kelly i love that about your writing!
This is sad but stunning.
Pockets filled with love are often forgotten and lead to an unearthed betrayal come laundry day. When things like this occur time is momentarily stopped in its tracks, replaced by an emptiness that is horrific in scope. Beautifully written Kelly. take care...dan

Your analogies always touch my heart the deepest, Dan...thank you!
this is so sad, that moment, finding out we have been betrayed...had something similar happen...and in the note she wrote, he will never know, so it won't hurt him...alas, I knew.

...this one cuts into the heart of me, as well. Always a pleasure, Jacob!
I was told once by a man that women that put hearts over their letters are the fatal attraction kind. Maybe its nothing...maybe it's something....but oh how it does rev up the heart....making you remember how much work it takes, how it doesn't just flow as the story books con us into believing....love lessons....heart hammering at moments.....still reading this passage .....I feel so much ease in your strength of it....so much capability to withstand it's rapture. Peace to you my fellow Queen ..in fairy tales and all things love!
Kelly, what a lovely penned piece of work you created here...I know its sad and betrayal is awful but you said so much with your words. So nice and always love the pictures you choose.

Kelly Dear,
I have heard there is a certain beauty in sadness, and you certainly have beautifully illustrated, composed, and presented this crushing verse of heartfelt angst, revealing what happens when discovering the special one trusted enough to give your heart to has disavowed and thrown it all away, like so much useless chaff.
Thing is, that picture found could belong to a disloyal friend, or it could have been of a stranger you found in the jean's pocket of the unfaithful man you love … either way, you have left an indelible sense of great disappointment and unbearable pain in result.
Your word-choices, line-breaks, and punctuation guide the reader perfectly through and down to the crucial ending.
Bravo and kudos, Kelly, for creating this excellent piece I (unfortunately) relate to; you are a truly amazing poet … warmest hugs to you! ⁓ Richard
