Georgia Summers

Georgia Summers

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

Georgia Summers

Georgia summers

were as piquant as

a mint julep in July.

Languid days of skinny-dipping,

where temperatures were as high as

the traversing of hands

 underneath a skirt

of fettered gauze.

Ahh yes... Those summer days of hot weather, cold drinks and steamy devil may care passion, sleeping outside on the sun porch with no clothes on. Very nice memories indeed

You have penned a pearl here my friend. My mind expands upon your theme long after the words were read.

I am so pleased you enjoyed this...thank you!
dear Kelly... We are so similar to birds
who love to splash in the heat of day,
perhaps in the shade of an old elm tree
or a Georgia River. Elegant sensuous
poetry and art. truly, Pat

...you've made me smile, on a day when I feel like crying. Thank you.
so sexy .. the mind's imagination is truly the seat of sexuality .. very tantric foreplay in eyes of the poet ;)
