Georgia Summers
A Poem by Kelly Scheppers
Georgia Summers
Georgia summers
were as piquant as
a mint julep in July.
Languid days of skinny-dipping,
where temperatures were as high
as
the traversing of hands
underneath a skirt
of fettered gauze.
