A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

Song of the Nightingale

Leaving me in spring…

what then will the nightingale sing

with wings outstretched?

Kelly, Someone leaving you unexpectedly always contains a bit of a shock to the system. The nightingale's wings outstretched in the posture of leaving also...a big piece of your life is leaving, with the bird's song echoing as it flies away. Very touching. taek care...dan

Is a review supposed to make you want to cry? Thank you, Dan!
When someone we love leaves us...either by death or by simply going somewhere....the music leaves our lives. It's so true. You have a special knack of saying so much in so few words, Kelly. This is great. Lydi**

dear Kelly... You have touched upon
the possibility of losing someone you
love who brings music to your soul.
A wisp of romance that is ever so
lovely. truly, Pat

Beautiful, romantic and provocative. Love the image too but like Alf said, the words stand alone. Nightingales add to the ambiance :-)

Hi Kelly. Wow!!! Wow!!! Woww!!!! I feel the excitement, the sensual anticipation, the sexual undertones, and most of all - the deep emotional inner voice that evokes a stirring in the heart of the reader. The artwork helps visually, but the words stand alone in this piece!!! Luuuuuuuv it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! alf
