Such a vivid image for me... I have always thought Audrey was the epitome of elegance and beauty... she was perpetual spring in the guise of a princess, or any other character she chose to play. I did a project for an architectural studio once, creating her image as a large poster out of one inch square pieces of paper drawn in different shades of gray. Alas it was lost in a fire, but I have certainly sighed, more than once, at her presence on my television screen... perpetual images of an icon so rare and beautiful.
Thanks for reminding me of her today! Your writing here is as elegant as she was... just the precise number of words to express your meaning. It amazes me how you do it piece after piece.

S.. read moreI watched that movie again with my daughter just a few weeks ago... she loved it as I always have. She, Audrey, was a special soul, elegant even when doing just a few documentaries late in life... the eyes, the smile, and the aristocratic line of her neck endured... endures as few others have.
I am only generous where it is due. Your words have delighted me today as I tried to catch up on all the RRs I have missed the last several weeks. I finally finished late this afternoon... though it was no burden, just a nice session of catching up with old friends. Take care... JKB
"Spring was the allure... of fragrance she wore." Bunches of imagery you do portray in few words... in few lines. Liked the usage of your word "Hepburn". It's such a beautiful word even in the shelf of literature that praises the black-&-white time since "beauties of allure" walked the roads / marbles / the oceans & all the shores alongwith the scents / aromas / intense fragrances of beautiful spring. Very beautiful write. This piece of art makes my time. Enjoyed it!

She had such a graceful neck, and she was one of my favorite actresses. Just a nod to her beauty!
Audrey. I liked Katharine too, her and Spencer Tracy were incredible together!

Yes, you well said.. Audrey had passion or got much 'interest' in her fashion / life-styles & new trends of her time. On contrary, Katharine lived with simplicity. I believe, she welcomed what came... just came & let go.. what go. However, in the field of love, both dolls had won her lovers hearts... and even still there remembrance touches the spirits. So, I think, the write "Allure" is one of the beautiful writes (like you earlier ones) that dapples the colors of spring and love on hearts. Loved the choice of your words!
Delightful poetry! Springtime does put a spring in the step of the young and available. The flounce of a skirt has caught many an eye on a spring afternoon. Seductive words here, Kelly. Gorgeous painting to accompany your words. Lydi**

This art work reminded me of you, Lydi...it has such a sophisticated feel to it.
Oh dear - Hepburn - moon river - the darling of cinema and all my dreams. She did indeed fill a space like Spring and make the men (and women) sigh. Gone are such leading ladies from Cinema but never from the psyche of popular culture. You did her and Spring such justice with your beautiful words here Kelly. So alluring. Thank you very much for sharing this one.
