My Wild Rose

My Wild Rose

A Poem by Mundayk
"

Listen to the thoughts of an innocent woman tempted by the dark soul of a man, a relationship of forbidden lust and tragic passings

"

Walking the streets of new,

But thinking only that of old.

With the bluest of eyes, she stared

And the reddest of lips, we shared

Memories of new and old.

With thoughts of the roses of old,

Long gone by the banks of the river of new

I entered her home in surety,

Her trembling subdued, with the carefullest of caresses

As I wiped at the tears that streamed down her face.

Her beauty still shone,

With the kissing of the sun

From the second days light,

I bring a rose, as though from the river of old

With the brightest of smiles,

She spoke of a new

Of a bringing of me from past to now

A giggle so sweet, as we kissed by the river

With the wind lighting brushing the hair from her face

And the watching of rose petals,

As they danced in the breeze

A scene so befitting, one cannot let pass

A final kiss, as I said my goodbye

The plumpness of her lips,

Baring a rose of now

"All beauty must die"

My wild rose of old

Author's Note

Mundayk
This was written based around a song released by Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue, which I think is based on a book. Dunno if it breaches any copywright for being to closely resembled. This was just something I kept thinking about at work and decided to write down
