Lemmings..A Poem by Mulligitawny
A cold shoulder in sheeps clothing that gives a kiss with no spark
With dead eyes that breathe fire and a bite with no bark. Grasping at my sanity and weathering my soul He leaves me a beggar with a penniless bowl. He's nothing but my everything; a frozen time-frame of innocence The brightness that lights a dark existence But his words fall to the floor with empty words of false sorrow Phantom promises and clouded visions of a better tomorrow And we both know it's just a ballad of our naive lust That misled us to believe love is something we could trust. © 2013 MulligitawnyAuthor's Note
